Cockroaches are the most ordinary creatures on the planet, but what if we decorate them with rhinestones?

It seems like we’re saying, “Yes, you can be special if you add a little bit of suffering.” But this “specialness” turns out to be nothing more than an illusion. These cockroaches remain just as mass-produced and monotonous as the entire consumer world, which tells us about rarity and exclusivity. The tags in the shape of hearts with the inscription “WORK” — it’s like price tags for a manufactured uniqueness, yet they just sit on the shelf.

We all continue chasing these illusions, but in the end, if we don’t find our true individuality, all these brands and decorations won’t make us any more interesting. Work, consume, repeat — and in the end, we realize that all these sparkling things are just filling the emptiness.
