Have you ever noticed yourself doing strange little things while thinking too intensely about a situation or trying to work out a plan? Pulling at your clothes, nervously fixing your hair, staring at yourself in the mirror. I think this happens when the mind becomes fully absorbed in the search for a way out, trying to calculate the best possible decision, while the body quietly reveals the tension first.
This painting is dedicated to that state. I wanted to capture the feeling of confusion, searching for an answer, deep contemplation, and something else that is harder to define but deeply familiar. It is the moment when thought becomes so consuming that it begins to shape the body, turning an inner process into something visible.
